Gijs Molkenboer started his career as a lawyer in 1996 after his studies at Utrecht University. He obtained his doctorate at the same university in 2020 for his dissertation Liability after wrongly levied prejudgment attachment.

From 2001 to 2021 Gijs held various legal management positions at a financial institution. He has extensive experience with complex legal processes, which require a broad view, creativity, thoroughness and careful interaction with various parties, including regulators.

Gijs specializes in liability, insurance and insolvency law. He likes to transfer his knowledge by teaching and publishing. Gijs combines his broad sector and product knowledge with a great love for the profession and the drive to achieve optimal solutions for clients. Preferably outside the courtroom, but where necessary, with his expertise in procedural law, inside it.
